SECTORS: Mining and steel industries (testifying expert)

Roger has over 30 years of international experience working in the mining and steel sectors. Since 1998, he has gained deep knowledge of the iron ore mining sector and how it relates to the steel manufacturing industry.

He has testified in international arbitration proceedings on multiple occasions, as well as giving a deposition in New York as steel industry expert witness in a bankruptcy litigation.

Roger’s experience covers testifying appointments as well as consulting and due diligence assignments. Iron unit experience covers iron ore, DRI, HBI, scrap and pig iron. Steel pricing has often formed part of his project brief; using his experience working in Steel Business Briefing/Platts.

Roger worked closely with a Senogles & Co testifying team on an investment treaty case involving responding to claims made from the alleged building, financing and operating of a planned (aborted) steel manufacturing plant, and the claimed valuation of damages arising. The tribunal found wholly in favour of our mutual client - a respondent state.
