Gregg has over 25 years of experience in corporate finance functions across multiple business sectors. He has a comprehensive and practical understanding of the finance and support functions’ impact on the design and execution of operational strategy. This has been cultivated by hands-on execution of tasks and transactions while influencing decisions, problem solving and communication.  He has managed multiple complex strategic initiatives at the operational, divisional, and corporate levels.

He has held senior positions in finance, accounting & reporting, treasury, reinsurance, tax, audit compliance & management, risk management, industrial controlling, business development and M&A. Gregg has also managed the human resources and corporate governance/secretariat functions. He has been responsible for the financial integrity of companies with global production sites and logistics centers, as well as for corporate financial services. He has the knowledge and understanding that provides an holistic strategic view, while his nature is to be hands-on. Gregg is as comfortable and conversant with operators and line-managers, as with Board members, and governmental authorities.

Gregg’s cross-border and cross-function project management skills have been sharpened over the years by executing high-value, time-sensitive projects. These include designing and implementing financial and operational KPI reporting for a food production and logistics group; designing and implementing the treasury function for a global manufacturing group; executing business development strategies via capital investments and acquisitions with values ranging up to $ 750 million; successfully planning corporate HQ migrations and performing complex multi-entity wind-ups and liquidations.

Gregg was the Captive Manager of a Swiss FINMA regulated reinsurance company ultimately being named to the Board of Directors. As such, he was the Board member with oversight responsibility for risk & compliance.

He acquired significant real-world practical insights into the complexities of legal entity management, audit, internal controls, tax, and regulatory compliance, as well as corporate governance and HR during his CFO level role overseeing a group of financial services companies based in Switzerland with a consolidated balance sheet in excess of USD 10 billion.

Gregg has been active in multiple sectors including, FMCG, food production & logistics, light & heavy industry, biopharmaceuticals, SaaS, and information data & analytics.

Leveraging his broad experience to help develop and implement winning strategies, Gregg has acted as an independent Advisor designing transfer pricing models, performing analyses of strategic competitors, and advising early-stage Start-ups.

Born in New York and having lived most of his life in Switzerland, Gregg has Swiss and US nationalities. He has worked in companies from Geneva to Zürich (and in between), and has extensive knowledge of Swiss laws, regulations, and practices. He understands first-hand the nuances of both Swiss and US business cultures.

Gregg completed the Executive Program in Transfer Pricing at the Université de Lausanne’s Tax Policy Centre, and the Blockchain Strategy programme with Oxford’s Saïd Business School.  Over time he has participated in numerous professional and executive development programs to expand and build his technical and soft skills.
